First, let me thank all my fans who have supported me so far at all the stops I've made, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, Virginia, and most recently, North Carolina. I have been making my way down South on this fan appreciation tour. All of the fans have been wonderful to me. Their love and support mean so much, and I truly could not have had the success I have without them. I started out the weekend in Raleigh, NC on Saturday. The response at Wal-Mart was overwhelming. The fans, the team at Wal-Mart, and the customers were very nice, and as I was told, we sold out of books. After leaving Wal-Mart and stopping off at a few appearances, including the Cumberland County Public Library, I made my way down to Columbia, SC and got ready for the Books-A-Million signing. The signing at Books-A-Million was great and I have to say it is always wonderful to see such die-hard fans of my novels. The next day, I paid a visit to the local radio stations in Charleston and spoke with T.K Jones and Deja Dee, who gave a brotha mad love and support. The signing later on that evening in Charleston was wonderful as well.
I'd like to give a big shout out to a few special people who have showed me so much love on this trip: Jodi Berry from Foxy 107.104; Jacqueline Lee from Books-A-Million who was such a gracious host in South Carolina; T.K. Jones from WMGL, Deja Dee from WWWZ and many more. Hope all my fans come out to see me tomorrow in Columbus, GA. |

Good Morning, As you know I have been making my way down South on this fan appreciation tour. All the fans have been wonderful to me, I have to say that my visit to Columbus, GA has been one of the best stops so far on my tour. Their love and support mean so much. The fans, the media and team at Walmart were extremely warm and their support definitely heartfelt. In the morning we visited WOKS-AM, WEAM-FM 1580, WFXE-FM FOXY 105 and WKZJ-FM 95.7 and then made our way down to the local television station; WTMV. As a special treat we were able to have lunch with Vicky James and Foxy 105's newest bookclub members and then we visited WBFA-101.3 The Beat in the afternoon. Although visiting the radio and television stations were wonderful, I have to say the best part of my day was when I got to the signing. I was so happy to see so many of my Columbus fans. You guys are dedicated to say the least and thanks to you, we were able to sell all of Something on the side books available at the Walmart.
I'd like to give a big shout out to those who showed me so much love in Columbus, including: Vicky James, The Breakfast Brother Show, The Gospel Show, The DJ Chip Morning Show, The Midday show, Lil D and WBFA - 101.3 The Beat, Henry Holt and everyone at the Clearchannel station in Columbus and last but not least my fans. Hope all my fans come out to see me tonight in Macon, GA |
